Marvin Gene Bridges 56 of Scottsboro passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. Marvin was a very kind and light hearted individual, he was a jokester and loved to laugh and make other’s laugh and smile. Marvin Worked for Over Head Door company for many years until he became disabled in 2003. Marvin is survived by his wife: Mary Beth Bridges, Son: Kevin Gene Bridges (Anna), daughters: Brooke Ann Baker (Keith), Chasity LeAnn Meadows and Tessa Danielle Bridges (Caleb) step-sons: Robert Redmond (Kristi) and William Redmond (Melissa) brother : Richard Lee Bridges (Sue) sisters: Liz Hanson (Bob) and Vickie K. Bridges. 10 Grandchildren and 12 Step Grandchildren. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents: Bobby Gene Bridges and Dorothy (Fletcher) Bridges. The family would like to thank Heartlite Hospice of Scottsboro for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to the Bridges family. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening, June 2, 2015 at Guntersville Memorial Chapel from 6-8PM The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Guntersville Memorial Chapel Burial to follow at Gilliam Springs Cemetery in Arab.
