Gloria Logan LeCroy

December 28, 1934 - July 30, 2020

Gloria Logan LeCroy, 85 passed away on July 30, 2020. She was born December 28 in Russellville, Alabama to Otis Grady and Grace Stanfield Logan. She was one of 7 children. Her family relocated to Guntersville in 1949. She graduated from MCHS in 1953 where she was a member of the National Beta Club. While in school, she met her adoring husband, Thomas Ray LeCroy. After her graduation, she and Ray were married on May 26, 1953 and had just celebrated their 65th anniversary when her husband passed away. After the birth of her 5 children, she went to work at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville as a keypunch operator. She took early retirement in 1985 to take care of her husband after a car accident left him paralyzed. Gloria had a love for music and was blessed with the most beautiful alto voice. In her free time, she enjoyed helping her best friend, Trilene Jones, price books at Mikes Merchandise, joining her husband bream fishing or meeting up with their friends for meals at one of their favorite restaurants around town. She also loved to travel and took numerous road trips out west. Above all else, though, she took her greatest pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren whether it was attending school functions, sporting events or just to love on her grand babies. Gloria is survived by her children Craig (Kim) LeCroy, Jill Lewis, and Susan (Shane) Wilks, grandchildren Crystal Whitaker, Jon LeCroy, Jansen Bright, Dallas Beard, Logan Wilks, Preslee Patterson and Sara Willoughby, 15 great grandchildren, brothers Jerry Logan, Granville Logan and Tim Logan, and a sister Charlotte Hester. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Terri Rae and Phyllis Jann, brother Kenneth Logan and sister Joyce Towe.
