Eloise Mae Danhof

November 23, 1940 - September 5, 2020

Eloise Mae Danhof, 79, went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2020. Eloise was born on November 23, 1940 to Kenneth and Virginia (Blackmer) Pickel in Muskegon, Michigan. She had two sisters. Eloise graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to earn a Degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. She married Richard (Dick) Henry Danhof on June 5, 1963 at the Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Maryland. Eloise spent 26 years living across the United States with Dick's Air Force career before retiring to Winchester, Tennessee and then to Guntersville, Alabama in 2004. She taught elementary school for many years and was active in teaching Sunday school, leading book clubs and playing bridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Guntersville and was active in the card ministry for shut-ins for many years. Eloise is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dick; one daughter Whitney K. Danhof of Shelbyville, TN and a son Richard H. (Heidi) Danhof of Dayton, OH and; two Grandsons, Luke (Haley) Danhof and Zach Danhof; and one sister Jane (Wallace) Ewing. She was preceded in death by one Sister, Carole Ann Norden. A private service will be held at Guntersville First Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International or Samaritan's Purse.
