Rev. Phil Howell - Age 68 - of Guntersville passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at his residence. Service for Rev. Howell will be Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2 pm at Arab First Methodist Church at 2 pm with Rev. Kenny Baskins and Rev. Barry Hallman officiating and Guntersville Memorial Chapel Directing. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery. Visitation for Rev. Howell will be Sunday Evening, April 10, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at Guntersville Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Clergy Friends.
Rev. Charles Philip Howell was born in the state of Alabama, December 2, 1942; the son of
William and Merriam Ruby Hendon Howell.
Rev. Howell is survived by his wife, Joan Howell of Guntersville; 3 sons: Jeffrey Howell of Texas, Eric Long and his wife, Jeri, of Guntersville, and Wes Long and his wife, Jordana, of Guntersville; 1 Daughter, Brenda Hill and her husband, Kirk, of Texas; 7 Grandchidren: Emily, Garrett, Brayden, Caitlin, Jackson, Maly Kate, and Mac; and 2 Sisters: Debra Swanson and Beth Wettstien.
